New Sites on the Web from Week of November 11, 2002

  1. RedWeek.com - Provides an exclusive marketplace where travelers find vacation bargains, and timeshare owners can list their available units to rent, sell or trade. The site has a situations wanted area called "RedWishes" allowing members, both travelers and timeshare owners, to post their desired vacations or unwanted timeshares for sale.
  2. All Win Bingo - A new member of the world's fastest-growing bingo network, BingoWorkz. The site offers online bingo buffs the best of bingo - patterns, promotions, progressives, live chat, and big jackpots - all for an affordable price. Bingo games start at just 10 cents and mini slots are even cheaper.
  3. Movielink - Movielink is the joint venture of five major studios: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Universal, and Warner Bros. Some 200 titles are currently available, and Movielink plans to add many more. Users pay a fee ranging from $1.99 to $4.95 to download a movie. Because the files are large, broadband is a must, and even then, transfers take about 90 minutes. Although the movies are available for 30 days after purchase, once a user plays one, he can access it for only 24 hours thereafter.
  4. SoundSupport.net - A computer racing game for blind children, developed in co-operation with the Bartimeus Institute for the blind. This game, which only consists of sound, is the ultimate response to the lack of fun games for blind people. The students translated the essence of visual racing games into sound instead of the graphical elements.
